Zeta Compliance Services (Zeta Services) advise our customers of their responsibilities under the Approved Code of Practice Legionnaires’ disease: The control of Legionella bacteria in water systems L8 Fourth Edition (HSE books ISBN 0 7176 6615 7) and guidance from the HSE, HSG274 parts 1,2 & 3 and HSG282; Health Technical Memorandum 04-01: Safe water in healthcare premises, Parts A & B; the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 etc. (HSWA); the Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations 1999; the Control of Substances Hazardous to Health Regulations 2002 (COSHH); the Reporting of Injuries, Diseases and Dangerous Occurrences Regulations 2013 (RIDDOR); the Notification of Cooling Towers and Evaporative Condensers Regulations 1992; the Safety Representatives and Safety Committees Regulations 1977; the Health and Safety (Consultation with Employees) Regulations 1996.

Zeta Services maintains records of its own in hard or electronic form, including on ZetaSafe for five years and these can usually be made available, however, customers are advised that it is duty holders who are required to keep records to confirm that risks were assessed, eliminated or controlled under competent management throughout the period covered by the records and for two years (risk assessments, schemes of control and management) or five years (monitoring).

Zeta Services also advises its customers of their responsibilities with regard to the adequate training of personnel in line with the Approved Code of Practice L8.  Zeta Compliance Services can assist with the assessment of training needs of staff members and provide advice on how these can be met.

By accepting our quotation you are agreeing to the following points:

  • That you, the customer, have received a copy of the Code of Conduct for Service Providers and Zeta Compliance Services’ LCA certificate of registration and have read and understood the contents
  • You, the customer, have been made aware of and understood the nature and scope of our responsibilities under the Approved Code of Practice and Guidance Legionnaires’ disease. The Control of Legionella bacteria in water systems L8 (2014) HSG274 and the Health & Safety etc at Work Act 1974 (HSWA)
  • Your obligations in relation to the work undertaken by Zeta Compliance Services, as laid out in HSE Approved Code of Practice (L8) – “Legionnaires’ Disease – the Control of Legionella Bacteria in Water Systems” have been explained
  • Legionella Awareness Training has been offered by Zeta Compliance Services.
