The HSE this month (April 2014) published its new guidance HSG274 Part 2 ‘The control of legionella bacteria in hot and cold water Systems’.
The guidance is freely available to download here http://www.hse.gov.uk/pubns/priced/hsg274part2.pdf and contains important changes that you need to be aware of to manage the risk.
A key change is in the guidance around recirculating hot water systems and the identification of additional sentinel monitoring points – it is very important you understand how to establish the new definitions of best practice in this respect.
