ZCS Fire Division provides expertise in the specific areas of fire safety, employing consultants across the UK to survey buildings and report back to our clients.
Zeta is seeking a talented and enthusiastic individual to be part of our dynamic and expanding business. This is a key role reporting to the head of the division where you will be empowered to develop our business and your own career.
Zeta operates in the health, safety and environmental arena helping organisations to comply with their legal requirements through the provision of risk management services in the areas of Water Hygiene (including Legionella management) and Fire Safety. Zeta also utilises the latest in web and mobile technology.

Travel throughout the UK may be expected so a full driving licence is essential. Zeta operates a family friendly policy and all travel commitments will bear this in mind.
You will be responsible for conducting fire risk assessments within our portfolio of clients. Providing descriptive reports with remedial action highlighted.
Liaising with Zeta’s Head of Fire Risk Management in delivering fire risk assessments in line with our contractual requirements.
You will be expected to attending client meetings when necessary.
Your experience is crucial to you successfully fulfilling this role and you will be asked to complete a questionnaire to determine your level of practical know-how and knowledge.
An excellent level of spoken English, literacy and numeracy is required. Good PC skills including a good understanding of MS Office suite (e.g. Word, Excel and Outlook).
You should be comfortable working with the internet. Capable of using a tablet / PC and capturing digital images. Further qualifications relevant to this technical role are outlined below:
- You will hold a recognised Fire Risk Assessment course through the IFE / FPA
- You will have membership with the IFE / IFSM
- Recognised third party accreditation with the Institution of Fire Engineers Register of Fire Risk Assessors or a similar industry related scheme
- At least 3 years’ experience in fire safety management
- Experience of conducting fire risk assessments
- Knowledge and ability to write detailed technical reports
Salary: Negotiable and commensurate with experience. Salary is paid on or before the 25th of each month.
Bonuses: You will be eligible for bonuses as agreed with your line manager at your annual appraisal.
Holidays: 25 days per annum (progressively rising to 30 days after 12 years).
Pension Benefits: Access to our pension scheme will be provided in line with automatic enrolment rules. Details will be provided when you join the Company. The Company will contribute 3% or £100 (whichever is larger) contribution to the Company Stakeholder Pension Scheme each month.

Private Healthcare: You will be eligible to join the company private healthcare scheme after six months of continuous employment.
This scheme is considered a benefit in kind with regard to P11D definitions.
Death in Service: You will be eligible for the company’s death in service scheme after six months of continuous employment. This scheme provides four times your basic pay to your estate should you die while employed.
Working Hours: 37.75 hours per week: Monday-Thursday 08.45 – 17.30, Friday: 08.45 – 16.30
However this is a salaried position and a degree of flexibility will be expected to meet client needs and deadlines
Company Car: Company vehicle will be provided.
Travel Expenses: A fuel card will be supplied for business mileage. Private mileage is at your own cost (more details will be supplied in the company handbook).
Business Equipment and Communication: Mobile phone, tablet and laptop computer supplied.
